Teenage acne is caused by hormonal activities, and excess oil that is mixed with bacteria and trapped in the pores of the skin. Of course, this doesn't mean that you don't need to eat good food and take vitamins to keep your skin pimple free. The nutritional needs of teenagers must be maintained especially as they are particularly prone to acne breakouts. The skin is the largest organ in our body, thus it needs more nutrients to keep it healthy. 1. Vitamin A
Vitamin A or retinol is very important in keeping the outer layers of skin cells and other outer cells of other organs in our body healthy. This vitamin can be found in some cosmetics products such as creams to directly treat the affected area of the skin. But if you want to nourish your body with this vitamin, it would be wise if you get this vitamin from natural products such as dairy products, fish oils and liver.
Vitamin A can also be found in yellowish-orange vegetables and fruits, these are called beta-carotene containing fruits and veggies. Vitamin B2 on the other hand, can irritate acne but can also help alleviate stress. Vitamin B3, has good anti-inflammatory characteristics on the skin which is perfect to lessen acne conditions.

3. Vitamin C
This vitamin keeps our immune system in good shape to effectively fight against disease-causing bacteria and viruses that may infiltrate the body. In the case of acne treatment and prevention, this vitamin is a good anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory vitamin that can greatly help the skin against the attack of bacteria-causing acne. Vitamin C is also used in repairing damaged tissue caused by pimple marks and acne scars.
